Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Saturday Poll (“Saturday Poll,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Saturday Poll mobile application (the “App”).

1. Information we collect

Account information

You may use the App with a guest account, an email-and-password account, or Sign in with Apple. Depending on the method you choose, we may process your email address, account identifier, authentication provider, username, and the name or email address Apple makes available to us. Apple may let you hide your email address.

Passwords are handled by our authentication provider. We do not receive or store your password in readable form.

Profile and activity information

We collect information you provide or create in the App, including your username, favorite team and conference, Top 25 ballots and rankings, Blind Resume selections, and related gameplay statistics. We also store timestamps and identifiers needed to associate this information with your account and the applicable poll week.

Technical information

Our service providers may automatically process limited technical information needed to operate and secure the App, such as IP address, device or browser information, request logs, and diagnostic information. Saturday Poll does not currently use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking technologies.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

• create and authenticate accounts;
• save profiles, ballots, selections, and progress;
• calculate and display aggregated community poll results;
• operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the App;
• respond to support, privacy, and legal requests; and
• comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Use.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers. We use Supabase for authentication, database hosting, and backend infrastructure. These providers process information on our behalf to operate the App.
• Apple. If you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple processes information according to its own privacy policy.
• Community features. Aggregated poll results may reflect your ballot without identifying you. Information you intentionally include in content you share from the App may be visible to its recipients.
• Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or respond to a lawful request.
• Business transfers. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

4. Data retention

We retain account and activity information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the App, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Aggregated or de-identified results that no longer identify you may be retained.

5. Your choices and rights

You may update certain profile information in the App. You may permanently delete your account from the Profile screen; this deletes the account and associated profile, ballots, and Blind Resume records from our active database. You may also contact us to request access, correction, or deletion, or to exercise other rights available where you live. We may need to verify your request.

If you used Sign in with Apple, you can also manage the App’s access from your Apple ID settings.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

8. International processing

Information may be processed and stored in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the revised version here and change the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where required.
